The PGI Piadina Romagnola with Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the Alimenta brand is a quality Italian product. It comes in a pack of 3 piadinas with a net weight of 360 g (3 x 120g). The product is packaged in a protective atmosphere and has a total shelf life of 90 days from production.

Ingredients

• “00” soft WHEAT flour
• Water
• Extra virgin olive oil 8%
• Iodized sea salt (sea salt, potassium iodate 0.005%)
• Leavening powder (corn starch, leavening agents: sodium acid carbonate, disodium diphosphate)

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. After opening the package, keep refrigerated and consume within 2 days. Best before the date stamped on the package.

Preparation

Cook the piadina for 30 seconds per side, initially placing the side that is more cooked on a non-stick pan preheated to approximately 250°C. Consume after cooking.

Organoleptic characteristics

Appearance: typical of a well-leavened product, with regular air pockets and clean edges. No burns on the entire surface and no surface cracks due to excessive leavening, nor dents or defects due to improper handling during processing. Free from foreign bodies and anomalous colorations.

Color: golden product without obvious burn marks and without anomalous colorations.

Odor: typical of a fresh product with natural leavening. No anomalous or unpleasant odors, such as oil, raw dough, rancidity, mustiness, mold, or others.

Consistency: soft, crispy, and slightly crumbly, similar to slightly toasted bread. No parts that are too moist, soft, or compact.
